Embarc Collective Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary of Supporting Florida Entrepreneurs

Startup building is hard. It takes drive, focus, and resilience to endure the ups and downs when a startup entrepreneur. As Embarc Collective’s coaching and support reaches its fifth anniversary, we are taking the opportunity to celebrate the companies that have survived the 5-year milestone along with us.

Only 50% of startups survive for 5 years according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demonstrating the incredible challenge it is to not only start but also sustain a new venture. Embarc Collective launched its customized support program featuring individualized coaching from a staff of startup operators and a relevant group program matching the needs of its member startups in March 2019. At that time, 25 Florida-based startups took a chance on a new program and became its inaugural members.

Fast forward 5 years:

• Embarc Collective was named a top startup support program in North America by UBI Global

• Embarc Collective now serves over 100 startups in Florida, who have created nearly 900 net new jobs

• 200 public events happen annually on-site at Embarc Collective, put together by various community partners

• Through member activities and public events, Embarc Collective welcomes 20,000 people through its doors each year

More impressive is that 96% of the original companies that joined Embarc Collective as inaugural members are still operating today. And 60% of those companies remain members today – that is because Embarc Collective continually adapts its support to match the needs of advancing companies to stay relevant and useful to Florida’s startup community.
