That’s why Embarc Collective is excited to welcome AI Strategist Rob Miller  to our team of coaches. Rob will be coaching our startup founders on customer acquisition and go-to-market strategies in a crowded AI market, translating implementation work into scalable, fundable ventures, financial modeling that supports investor conversations and decision making, leadership development of the founder, and more.

Rob is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and operator whose career spans regulated gaming, aviation, and emerging technology. He has co-founded and led multiple ventures, including Sierra Design Group, Amelco USA, Gaming Capital Group, Prairie State Gaming, and Commonwealth Gaming, achieving several successful exits, including one that reached a unicorn valuation. His latest venture is RegAssist, builder of industry-specific AI chatbots and agents using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology.

In parallel to his work as a founder and investor, Rob was a faculty member at Miami University in Ohio, where he mentored dozens of student-led startups and early-stage founders. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a cavalry officer, and holds advanced degrees from Columbia University (MBA) and the University of California, Berkeley (MBA in Technology Management).

Today, Rob operates Miller Companies, a family office and investment platform that backs early-stage companies and leads hands-on product development, particularly in AI. He actively advises AI startups, helping teams build real-world implementations such as customer service RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) systems and AI-powered consulting agents—with a focus on practical utility and long-term scalability.

Rob is also an instrument rated private and seaplane pilot, primarily flying rugged tailwheel airplanes in the backcountry.
