Every year, Embarc Collective’s Summer Party brings together founders, startup team members, staff, families, and supporters for an evening dedicated to one of the most important ingredients in building a successful company: community. Designed as a member-exclusive event, the Summer Party serves as an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day challenges of startup building, celebrate progress across the ecosystem, and strengthen the relationships that help founders scale faster. This year’s disco-themed celebration transformed Embarc Collective into a vibrant summer gathering filled with colorful décor, disco balls, 1970s-inspired fashion, great conversations, and plenty of opportunities for members to connect.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed friendly competition through games like Jenga, Connect 4, and cornhole, while others gathered around the build-your-own s’mores station to share stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate wins from the first half of the year.

While the activities brought plenty of fun, the true highlight of the evening was the reminder that building a startup doesn’t have to be a solitary journey. The relationships formed between founders, operators, and startup teams often become a critical source of support, perspective, introductions, and encouragement during the most challenging stages of company building.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was the presentation of the 2026 Ganay Thompson Community Award to Riley Walker, Founder & CEO of Ryco. This annual recognition honors an individual who embodies the spirit of community that defines Embarc Collective. Through his willingness to support fellow founders, share insights, make connections, and contribute to the success of others, Riley has made a lasting impact on our ecosystem. His leadership, generosity, and commitment to helping others succeed exemplify the collaborative culture that makes Embarc Collective unique.
