Year in Review: Tampa Bay Healthtech Meetup

In 2023, TGH Innoventures and Embarc Collective partnered to create the Tampa Bay Healthtech Meetup with a mission to gather seasoned industry leaders, startup builders, investors, and community members for in-depth conversations on major healthtech trends.

Throughout the year, the panelists shared their industry perspectives in various sessions:

• In Q1, our audience learned of the vision for the Tampa Medical and Research District, featuring insights from John Couris, President and CEO of Tampa General Hospital, and Rachel Feinman, VP of Innovation at TGH Innoventures.
• Q2 delved into leading healthcare innovations, and featured technology transplants to Tampa Bay, including Jeff Kozlov, 2x Healthcare SaaS CEO, Jane Casey, VP of CareComm at Tampa General Hospital, Kyle Talcott, Founder and CEO at Uplift, and Santosh Mohan, formerly the VP of Digital at Moffit Cancer Center.
• In Q3, we explored how startups can sell their products or services to healthcare organizations. Matt Rice, Partner at Ballast Point Ventures, Saru Seshadri, Founder and CEO at Constellation4 Health, and Jason Swoboda, Director of Innovation at TGH Innoventures, provided a comprehensive perspective from the viewpoints of an investor, founder, and provider, respectively.
• Q4 covered how to adapt to ‘untraditional’ healthcare, with insights from Jared S. Taylor, Founder of Slice of Media and Slice of Healthcare, Dr. Peter Chang, Senior VP, Chief Transformation Officer at Tampa General Hospital, Susan Rawlings Molina, Co-Founder and CEO at Groundgame Health, and Ryan Schneider, Executive Advisor at Embarc Collective and Founder of Thrive25.
